    I do want to do what PA can to smooth the federation issues with other software, but it has enough of its own problems at the current time before I start accomodating for the problems of others.

    @takeshitakenji @moonman In THEORY it should be pretty easy to add Redis to GS/PA.  But I've said that before, haven't I?  In practice ... well, its OOPy, but it's not very modular, so rewriting one thing ends up having a lot of baggage.  All the same, I hope to add support for Redis as a caching mechanism in the future.

    @takeshitakenji That and GS gets really wibbly if it has to "share" - which is why they tell you not to make it in the same database with another software, even though an app should honestly be pretty agnostic about that.

    @takeshitakenji Sample is the reference implementation.  But as far as closest to what you're trying to do, hmm, hard to say.  The Realtime plugin has an example of the Events around queue handling which may be useful.
