   @knuthollund @mmn I know – upgrading !gnusocial is a hard work – I tried with my instance some weeks ago – nothing worked after this "upgrade" – so I was happy to have a complete backup.

   @morph Ich komme etwa zu gleichem Schluss. Vor paar Tagen wollte ich !gnusocial auf den neusten Stand bringen – ging aber gar nichts mehr. Dank Backups konnte ich alten Zustand wieder herstellen. Das Ganze ist von Installation, über Betrieb bis Update einfach sehr heikel und fragil. Da gilt wohl das bewährte IT-Wort: Never change a running system:

   @hier @marcus @marcus@gnusocial.ch Für mich würde !gnusocial problematisch werden, wenn Spammer das Netz entdecken und zumüllen würden. In der dezentralisierten Konfiguration müsste man dann nicht nur einzelne User, sondern auch eine Instanz völlig abklemmen können.

    Einfach zu hoffen, dass bei den vielen neuen Accounts das alte !gnusocial Problem mit den gleichen Nicks auf verschiedenen Instanzen nicht zu viel durcheinander bringt…

    @realramnit Die Dezentralisierung von !gnusocial sollte man wohl gut erklären, dass es also nicht wichtig ist, in welcher Instanz man seinen Account hat !fediverse oder dass man sogar seine eigene Instanz bauen kann !selfhost
