   For the first time in almost a decade, I switched back to using KDE for my desktop. My goodness, is it nice. I was forced into this switch because of a long-standing Unity Compiz Flash bug (ask me more if you are interested ). But now I doubt I will ever look back.

    @Jodi Cooley and I are off to Milwaukee for the weekend. It's our nephews' birthday party. Short trip, but it will be nice to see family again (especially now that I seem to have neither a cold, nor the flu, nor either of those stomach bugs I picked up over the winter break). Thanks to our friends who are watching the house for us until we return.

    A few weeks ago I removed the Facebook app because of their ludicrous text message permissions. I then rediscovered Facebook.com in the mobile browser. It is really good. I am reconnecting with the web itself, which I love. I just deleted Twitter from my phone; now I just keep a link to the website from my android home screen. #rediscovertheWWW
