On Identi.ca there was both @KWLUG and !KWLUG - the user dents meeting announcements and live-dents the meetings, and the group is used for discussion amongst KWLUG members. It might be useful for all of @KWLUG's dent to go to the members of !KWLUG all the time, as well as have all the dents to !KWLUG go to @KWLUG, which it would anyway, since @KWLUG is subscribed to !KWLUG. -

Who knew that spam has its benificial purposes? From http://m.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/nsa-collects-millions-of-e-mail-address-books-globally/2013/10/14/8e58b5be-34f9-11e3-80c6-7e6dd8d22d8f_story.html — Spam has proven to be a significant problem for the NSA — clogging databases with information that holds no foreign intelligence value. The majority of all e-mails, one NSA document says, “are SPAM from ‘fake’ addresses and never ‘delivered’ to targets.” -

I've been !selfhosting the Mozilla sync service for about a month, using the default data store. Seems fragile, but it hasn't failed yet. Need to make sure it autostarts when the server reboots, tho. -

@windigo @lnxw37 What's wrong with Thunderbird using the Lightning plugin? It works well as a plugin for me; I see no need to include it and bloat the TB code even more. -

If you want "This page was last updated on…" then consider using Server Side Includes. On my pages I use <!--#config timefmt="%a, %d %b %Y %T %z" --><!--#echo var="LAST_MODIFIED"--> See the bottom of http://sobac.com SSI docs at http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/howto/ssi.html
