I sniffed TOR with Thunderbird; it leaks like a sieve (DNS, plugins, &c.) Stick with the browser bundle. If you need e-mail, consider TorBirdy https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/wiki/torbirdy -

There's an oddity where your server inserts three slashes in the URL between domain and username: http://chirp.cooleysekula.net///steve — Most things work, but I had to unsubscribe/resubscribe you and @drsekula several times to get your notices. Not sure if any of that is related to the problem you're having. For troubleshooting, come join us in #IRC at irc://irc.freenode.net/#social or https://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=social -

The only time self-signed certificates are insecure is if you don't verify the certificate signature. It is always necessary to verify a certificate's signature out-of-band. Usually that's done by a Certificate Authority (with pre-defined CA certs bundled with the browser), but certificate signatures can also be verified through other secure channels, eg. In-person, GnuPG message, … -

You can't "Add" unless you already have the other two operands. "Think three". OK. "Now Add". To what? -

Seems !Ubuntu 13.04 reached end-of-life on 27 January. A strange cut-off date; why not EOL until *after* the next release is out in April? Such an aggressive upgrade cycle makes me inclined to install a rolling distro. -

RPN is actually the way people think. Try doing 3+5 in your head. You don't "think three, then add, then think five", you "think three, think five, then add them". -

I have a lovely 20+ year old HP48S calculator that I never use any more. I bought the reference and programming manuals, and a serial cable to connect to my computer. Wonder if I can still find the files for the programs I wrote? #Duffer tech -
