   The new Roku 2 is pretty nice. I lost mine in the move so I bought a 3, which is even nicer.

   They're Canadian so they don't have to comply with NSA restrictions on cryptography. It's also a very light weight OS.

   I've been messing with OpenBSD a bit. They're very security oriented. And I may install Windows 7 on my desktop just because I can.

    SELinux code has been open for more than 10 years. I'm satisfied. The OpenBSD team seems to be highly invested in auditing their own code.

    DARPA was funding OpenBSD. They dropped funding when Theo De Raadt was a bit too open about his love of freedom of speech.

    Worked on a friend's computer tonight. Windows XP Pro. Fortunately she was very appreciative and had low expectations. It went well.

    I suppose. It was pressure from people who knew the week encryption the NSA would allow was worthless who finally got the laws changed.

    It has always annoyed me that the NSA has been so successful at stopping technology they can't break. But there's no NSA in Canada.

    I've been looking at OpenBSD for some projects. It's simple, security oriented and made in Canada so the NSA can't hobble it.
