   Spices should be added after cooking so they don't boil away most of their flavor.

   Water to rice 2:1 is usually good. I used 2 cups rice. Toasting rice in oil will help separate the grains and keep them from sticking.

    Cooking some brown rice. Fry onion and garlic in oil, throw in rice to toast a bit. Add water and chicken broth. Simmer 40 minutes.

    Reading some more on the SFC/SFLC controversy. There isn't much that is concrete. Nothing comes close to making SFLC's action make sense.
