If you put
$config[‘db’][‘schemacheck’] = ‘script’;
in your config.php, it’ll stop checking the schema on every action. You just have to make sure to remember to run
php scripts/checkschema.php after adding any plugins. -

I’ve got memcache going on my instance but running the daemons and setting the schemacheck to script were the two biggest gains for me. -
