   @kevingranade Yep. As a matter of fact, you still use ‘mysql’ to access mariadb. And files are stored in /var/lib/mysql even. ;)

   @niobe That was actually a decent test of performance increase. It usually takes 3-4 minutes to go from micro->matrix->micro. Was just under 2 minutes this time, wasn’t it?

   @r7 I may not use openoffice/libreoffice that much. I don’t remember that being an issue for me.

    @mmn It was for me. Stopped mysql, uninstalled mysql, installed mariadb, and started mysql. It didn’t skip a beat. ;)

    Seems everything is working after the migration just as nothing happened. Do have a few heavy queries that are taking longer to run though.

    @windigo It may be too early to tell on performance. I’ll have a placebo effect for a bit but, it does seem to be better. ;)
