@jk w00t! Its certainly different and I prefer to install node stuff locally as opposed to globally but, at least a global install pulls in everything it needs. :) -

@jk Ah, sorry (damn url shortener) the URLs should have been “pump.io“ -

@jk npm will install to /usr/lib/node_modules/pump.io when installing it globally. Also, I am using node v0.8.22… -

@jk You should just need to install nodejs (npm comes with it) and either install pump globally (npm -g install http://u.jpope.org/3d) or pull the git version and use npm install within the http://u.jpope.org/3d directory. -

@sazius They work quite well. All my BashScriptVille bots use those scripts: http://u.jpope.org/59 :) -

@aqeeliz Yep, @windigo should consider a >140 character limit now that the bulk of the federation will now be >140. ;) -

@sazius Yep, just a little bash script. It’s using curl to post to SN and the CLI tools in pump.io/bin/ for pump. ;) -

@steve Its possible that it won’t really be a problem. If StatusNet can’t get a connection when it tries to push, it will skip over it. I can’t remember if it holds it in a queue for later or not though. -

@lnxwalt I think a “cat person” would say that a cat is a person. Therefore a dog is a dog. #OrSomethingLikeThat -

So. Has anyone heard from @fo0bar? Will @x11r5 make the migration? -
ⒿⓅⓄⓅⒺ (jpope)'s status on Wednesday, 29-May-2013 22:11:59 EDT ⒿⓅⓄⓅⒺ
@jk It’s not a matter of you being unsubbed from http://u.jpope.org/5o users, its the identica users being subbed to you. Your account/instance will not know that the identica account doesn’t exist anymore and will push to it. You can unsub from whoever you want but, if the other account doesn’t unsub from you, you will push to it. Without SQL queries, blocking will be the only way to stop the push. -

@jrobb @gomerx Most likely, the best bet to keep your instance from attempting to push to identica after the migration is to go through your subscribers list and click “Block” on identica accounts. This should kill off the subscription to your account and stop your instance from pushing to identica. One way to help this, will be to edit ./lib/framework.php, make PROFILES_PER… -

@morph @jk @nybill Either way, just because you set a higher limit, doesn’t mean that you have to use it. ;) -

@jk @vinilox Meteor is a pain in the ass to setup the first time. I initially didn’t want to rely on a third party for realtime but, the option to have SSL did it for me. ;)
