    The student strike stopped being about expressing ideas and started being about being so disruptive as to make the government give in.

    @mbjunior and that has a pretty polarizing effect on the populace. After a while, people get sick of fires, smoke bombs and street closures.

    @mbjunior unfortunately, I think, the student strikers have mixed a hardline stance with a policy of social disruption.

    Seriously, it's been a difficult part of this strike. Public opinion has been against the strikers from the start, and keeps dropping.
