Nein, das ist kein Grund, die Überweisungsfrist – zwei Bankverkehrstage – massiv zu überschreiten und das Papier erstmal vier Tage lang beiseite zu legen.

!TIL: copytruncate and dateext as parameters in /etc/logrotate.d scripts. First one empties and contiues with the same file after copying it for rotation as some programs don't use the file name as handle but the inode number and then (at least sometimes) continue logging into the rotated logfile. Second extends the names of the rotated logfiles by the current date.
