If you have the latest #nightly, add the following to config.php: addPlugin('StoreRemoteMedia');
Please be aware that this downloads any image mimetypes and does not pay any respect to copyright/licensing or size etc. But I would like others to test it too of course, to see if there are any bugs :)

!gnusocial Is even prettier now with all the remote image attachments being shown using the latest #nightly's plugin #StoreRemoteMedia (manually enabled)

I just refactored some stuff so latest #nightly of !gnusocial can show remote profiles by accessing /user/:id where :id is the profile ID. #ModPlus also rewritten to make use of this. Also smarter code reuse in profile presentation pages. !hackfest :]

Hmm. So one thing I've been annoyed with !gnusocial for the last week or something is that _group_ notices are shortened as well, when being passed through a bangtag. The current method of shortening remote notices is to save the HTML to a separate file (accessed via AJAX on "expansion"), but the notice DB table will contain a shortened version based on the local inst…
