I really do not like patent law borrowing from criminal law or copyright law borrowing from patent...though it happens all the time. -

What do people think of a perpetual patent system where improvements are *NOT* subject to the blocking patent. This means drug companies do not need to recoup costs quickly and thus can reduce initial cost. It essentially turns a patent into a trademark. -
