Just reminding everyone: #Netflix coerced the #W3C into implementing #DRM in #HTML5. They explicitly want to make it impossible for you to right-click and "Save image as...".

@jonkulp Demonstrates the power of.!OpenData formats yet again. Can't do that with #DRM encumbered E-books, and it would be plenty difficult on nonDRM proprietary formats.

The browser provides an API to the #DRM with its Encrypted Media Extensions; the content "owner" (Adobe) then provides the actual #DRM code in the Content Delivery Module. So, proprietary plugins again, but this time illegal to examine, learn from, or remove in countries like Canada that outlaw the circumvention of technical protection measures
