@r7 my usual process: bare minimum stable net install, dist upgrade to testing, then install what i actually want #worksforme -

@marjoleink in general terms i only use backports for servers | for *me* stable+backports is more problematic than testing for desk-/laptop -

it sure is pulling in a later version of ure ... I've never seen synaptic fail at something aptitude could do, too :-/ -

hmm interesting; it says it wants to REMOVE (synaptic did not) a load of stuff for that, too (like Abiword, and much more) - I'll let it -

@sazius if I apply a filter and look at backports specifically, there is no uno-lib or ure (visible) there -

using synaptic; installed the (a?) backports repository; LO needs uno-lib3 & ure in versions that are not available, only older ones for OOo -
