    For any !fs project, don't be afraid of asking for donations. Just make sure you explain why it is desired (makes it easier to prioritize time for FLOSS work, actual costs involved etc.). Maybe even explain why you're _not_ advertising to get the money ;)

      @stigatle A common excuse I hear from companies that they don't use libre software is because they "need to buy it from someone", or it's "not company asset" (even though it's just a license). Offer an explicit choice for companies to "purchase a license for this version, with free upgrades" - even if that license happens to be the GPL or whatever. Put it as a tab on the page next to Donate :]

      @stigatle Yeah, and also I don't think it's worth having like "$10 USD licenses" or something else. Go for the $300 USD ones. The people who say "that's too expensive" always have the option to just donate however little they want.
